Ightham Moat after John Hinde
Second day in Kent and it's my duty to visit at least one National Trust property.
I had been to Ightham Moat before with a group of friends from The Times on one of Ian Stupples' walks. I arrived first thing to avoid the hoards of OAP's and officious National Trust Wardens. As a result I had the gardens pretty much to myself for the first hour. Absolutely beautiful and worth a visit if you are in the area. More pictures here.
