Sick note
This one had a raging temperature in the night that bought him the day off school, he was a bit smug about that, and his brother a bit devastated.
We're all below par... especially on limited sleep after a couple of hours awake in the night. I resigned myself to a slow day with the youngest, amazingly am a little ahead with the masters work (not much, but a little).
Penance for being at home and almost poorly (he isn't 100%) is a morning dog walk - he loved it and we were out for an hour an a half - and some afternoon chores. The day did include too much tv whilst I did get a few things done, but we also had some lovely time reading books on the sofa.
School called in the afternoon to say the eldest had asked not to play football after school because he was so tired. I had thought about collecting him early but decided that he would be upset because he loves his afternoon football.
I decided to cart the three of us off for PCR tests after school, just to be sure. I've done 4 LFT tests and the boys have done 3 of them in the last 6 days, so I'm pretty sure it's just a bug. There are plenty of covid cases at school, so decided it was best to be sure.
Today I'm grateful for:
Being able to have a slower day
Lovely day with the youngest
Reading stories with the boys at bedtime
