On Coldberry Hill
Backblip 4
A local walk with Tom and MrM - up through Monday Clough, a short section of St Cuthbert's Way, and then to the top of Coldberry Hill before going back over Wooler Common. The cairn is marked on the map simply as a 'currick' (the Cumbrian word for a cairn, or man-made pile of stones), but from the other side looks as though it was once something more significant, maybe a burial chamber. The top of Humbleton Hill is in the distance.
Fine when we set out, it wasn't long before it started raining. Not heavy rain, but persistent - enough for me to discover that my boots are no longer waterproof!
Home for a roast dinner, a couple of glasses of red, and a film.
