Another Good Mushroom Day

I stepped out of the house this morning and immediately noticed a huge "hen-of-the-woods" under our big white oak tree. It's the one bottom right. Then as we came to the end of the driveway I spotted something white peeking out from the end of a pile of mostly oak logs, and wandered over (to the tune of "Oh, for god's sake") to see what it was. What it was was the huge Lion's Mane mushroom on the left in the photo. Finally, along the dirt road I found not one, but two coral fungi - possibly Ramaria Stricta - that must have sprung up overnight! That's the one top right.

Both hen-of-the-woods and Lion's Mane are edible mushrooms. But I doubt we'll be eating them.
