Flower Friday . . . Lavender + Helen

This is Helen the honey bee I have decided.  She and her friends will have flown in from Andrews hives and were all over the lavender this morning.  I sat there with the sun on my back and watched and snapped away.  I couldn't make up my mind what to post today but something about the angle of the flowers and the colour made me pick this one.  This morning I bought sweet pea plants.  Last year I grew them from seed but they didn't do well so I am trying plants this year.  I have sunflower seeds germinating and after nearly five years in this garden I have used up all the available spaces.  That won't stop me going to the garden centre, I'm no quitter.
