Lace cookies

I did some baking today. Matt would have been 41 today. Johnny mowed early. A friend came out really early with coffee and muffins in hand. Her children grew up with ours. We had a wonderful visit. It’s been a great day. Jessica had her first session with a trauma therapist and said it went well. “The Brothers” are grilling steaks out here Saturday night and she’s coming to spend the night . She hasn’t spent the night since the accident. It’s her choice. We may take the boat out Sunday evening.
It’s really been a blessed day. I had an epiphany . As Christian parents, we raise our children for the next world as well as this one. Matt did the same with his precious kids. That brings the joy and peace that passes all understanding.
