Catching the light.

One of our good friends popped in last night to see us and have a catch up.
(The family are now away for 8 days).
He brought me some of the last flowers from his allotment.
The house is very quiet as I sit here in the front room with the sunshine pouring in intermittently. The clouds rush across the sky and momentarily obscure it from time to time.
He stayed for awhile and it was good to see him. Off on his holidays today.
I’m looking forward to pottering in the garden so much in a short while.
