Change of plans….

We wanted to celebrate NSLLDC’s first week at college and booked a table at a new very popular restaurant in Cambridge called the giggling squid. Everybody loves it and we wanted to try it too! Well, after arriving and discovering that our table outside hadn’t been prepared, after waiting about ten minutes for it to be laid, after about another 15 or 20 minutes for a waiter to appear to take our order (in the meantime people inside that had arrived after us had already been attended to), I decided to tell the receptionist that we were leaving. What struck me was that she barely apologised and did absolutely nothing to keep us there…. The world is changing….

Anyway, we walked over the road to brewdog and had a lovely dinner there! Friendly personnel, friendly atmosphere, lovely food!
