Mother
After languishing in the garage for eighteen months the mobility scooter was charged and we took to the pavements to take a little excursion to Tuckton, revisiting a special place from my childhood.
The weather was again beautiful. We sat out in warm sunshine for a good hour, drinking coffee and watching the world go by. My mother's detailed memory of the time I was growing up here is extraordinary. I have nothing left in my head except for a few random fragments.
She's just turned 89 and still seems to appear younger to me every time I see her!
