Mae West
Mae West - dancing her ass off.
Not much news today: still busy at the office, still freezing cold outide. However, the snowing pretty much stopped, so outside shots are possible again.
I decided to visit a rather new work of art, which was completed in January 2011 as a Kunst am Bau (Percent for Art) project as part of the urban expressway tunneling scheme. It is a 52 meters high carbon fiber tower in the form of an hyperboloid, which abstractly depicts a spinning dancer. Hence the name Mae West. It seemingly spinning structure also refers to the its location at Effnerplatz, a major crossroads in Munich's street grid.
I once again wished I had a tripod. Looking for a flat and not to seedy surface for my camera to rest is getting really annoying!
Also, light trails are fun!
