Nurine Bowdenii

These only flower in the Autumn but they add a splash of pink to our garden in October.

Busy day at Stowe fertilising new trees planted in the Spring. Each tree was fitted with a water retaining collar for the summer and as a result of regular watering all 50 Lime trees have survived.

The collars are filled with water weekly in dry spells of weather and the water seeps out over several hours. The collars have now been removed.
