Investigating folding bikes

Today I went with my daughter to three bike shops to investigate the various types of folding bikes which she could put in her car and then unfold in order to cycle to work after taking children to school.
 As well as Brompton…the most expensive by far.. there are now several other makes..Ruck, Tern and Raleigh seen in the foreground of this photo. The cheapest are Ruck at £420, Tern £675 and Raleigh £470. The cheapest Brompton is now £1400 but it is lighter, folds well and is the most compact when folded and has a 5 year guarantee. 
At our local bike shop they also had a folding electric bike , a make called MiRiDER …..made in Lancashire. I think they must be new  on the market as have never heard of them before. This bike was easy to ride but a bit heavier. Something to think  about as the same price as a Brompton!
