The Phoenix Rises

Over the hill

Well round it really.
As Honey monstar had sore paws,  she was excused the walk. They did a tour of Fairy pools etc. by car. Ally and I dragged ourselves around Camel Hill. The most we have both walked in a few years. The weather  was wonderful and so were the views.  From the top of the brae down to Ardintoul this view towards Dornie caught my eye. I hadn't  been here in 50 years. The hill road down from here is almost too steep to walk. We managed baby steps and eventually got to the rocky beach.  We picnicked and a family  of 3 strolled past. We  chatted and set them on the track we had come instead of going very far off course. They would never have made their dinner  reservation. We met them as we completed the circuit and again  in the pub later when we assisted  the local Fiona and Duffer in the wetting of baby Bonnie's  head, their first Grandchild. Thanks for the taxi son. That's  one repaid, only a few thousand to go.

XS.
