Work on plot layout

Autumn-winter is the perfect time for landscaping work as it's less busy than the growing season.

When I took on the allotment in 2017, it had been neglected for so long that the couch grass from the path had invaded my plot and I've had to continually mulch and weed to stay on top of perennial weeds along the edges.

I want to move my fruit trees to the back of the plot next month so I thought now would be a good time to plan ahead and work out measurements.

It's the first time I've used a (very long!) piece of string and it's great to know exactly where the boundaries are.
