Bristol planetarium
It’s in Millennium Square - an area in the centre with lots of bars and restaurants. The square itself it also a bit of a destination - with pools and water features which children can play in, space for skateboarders. Plus the travelling funfairs and big wheels set up there at holiday times.
The planetarium is great - it seems much bigger when you’re inside. It’s a theatre really, except you look at the dome above you. The best thing I’ve seen there was a performance of Holst’s The Planets - with a portrait of each planet as it played.
