Sinfonia of Birmingham in Pershore

The weekend started well last night with a 100th Centenary of the Great Alne memorial Hall. The Hall was built to commemorate the fallen of WW1 rather than create a war memorial. Mrs Chrispy and I had a great evening and met some more of our local neighbours for the first time.

This afternoon we went to our first live concert since the start of lockdown, in Pershore Abbey. The Sinfonia of Birmingham performed Nielsen and Sibelius and it was excellent. Wonderful acoustics in an excellent setting.

Used my new camera for the first time so stuck to subjects I have taken before. Lots to learn with the new camera but as it is much lighter I feel more comfortable with it.

Watching  the Cardiff Devils Ice Hockey Team I have followed since mid 1990s on a web stream against Belfast Giants. Devils are 1 nil up at the end of the first period but Giants have been playing exceptionally well so in for an interesting 2nd and 3rd periods. Devils got a great goal but against the run of play.
