Football focus

As the mist rose from the Cotswold escarpment U7 Football was in full swing! Our son in law leads this activity. Everyone enjoyed it :twenty enthusiastic U7 footballers, their supportive parents and one grandparent.

On the way home I filled up with fuel. The furore of the shortages have completely receded. Shopping for food at our local supermarket there were plenty of empty shelves. Some shoppers were already buying non perishable Festive food over two months early. FOMO* is clearly a highly effective marketing strategy!

Today we also spent some time in the garden of our new house, went for an afternoon walk and cut the lawn in our rental house. Our daughter kindly walked round to our house with the extension cable we needed to complete this task. We are making the most of the late afternoon light. Its disappearance, when the hour changes the weekend after next, is always a bit of a shock.
