Follow the Leader

In between rain showers we stopped along the Kennebec river in Hallowell to gander at the Canada geese and mallard ducks collected close to shore. A couple of cormorants could be seen resting on channel markers further downriver. Despite the lazy feel by the river, the main street was buzzing with activity this Saturday morning. Many were focused on purchasing their much needed wakeup coffee as a line had already formed outside of Slates Bakery. Window washers were busy removing dust and pollen from two popular watering holes: The Quarry and The Liberal Cup. Not that anyone would notice - or care - after a pint or two • We’ll be ordering takeout from The Cup (regulars drop Liberal) tomorrow for a very special day…nope, you’ll have to check back tomorrow to learn more :) • Happy Saturday, my friends!
