The offering of the day
It's not the best one of him.
Woke up to emails confirming that the youngest and I have covid, eldests test couldn't be read. Explains a week of feeling so rough. I've done 5 lateral flows in 7 days, all negative, the boys have done three, all negative. I only took the precaution of a pcr as we were still feeling rough. I now feel so guilty for all the people I've seen and not keeping the boys off school, but we followed the advice.
Somehow, I have to complete a masters assignment in the next 2 weeks, with the boys at home... I sent in an extension request this evening!
We've all been a bit out of sorts today. Breaking the news to thw boys was tricky as they worry about it, and also had to be told there are no play park visits, rugby or swimming to be had this week.
Took the husband for a pcr test this morning.
Today I'm grateful for:
The boys playing for ages with the rediscovered baby monitors, they're using them as walkie talkies and think it's great!
Afternoon walk (there is debate as to whether I should leave the house, but the dog and children need fresh air, so we took a chance over the fields)
Having felt ill all week, my isolation ends on Tuesday, so it could be worse....
