Flower Friday

Off to Tittle Tattle tea shop this morning and I was the first to arrive.  They are collecting winter coats, socks and scarves for a homeless project in the city and people were turning up with lots of bags - good to see.  It was one lady’s birthday and she had brought chocolates.  Her friend had gone to M&S to get her a cake, and all the had left was a “Colin the caterpillar” cake, but it was well received!  A lot of people stayed for the “reflection” this week which was good to see.  This church is holding their harvest festival on Sunday so these sunflowers were on the table.  Thinking there might not be any other flowers around the village I used these for Flower Friday.  Happy flowers.  Arrangements made for a recce walk tomorrow.  Rest of afternoon spent on a walk, washing and cooking.  Oh and news of a second success for grandson F as he has been made Head Boy at school.  We told him we were surprised as it wasn’t the sort of thing he usually shows an interest in.  His reply was that it wasn’t the sort of thing he would normally go for, but he would do his best at it and it would look good on his CV!  :-)
