Church Meat Feast

Getting back into the swing of things with Leyna doing a big shop for things to eat now we are back and picking up the raw milk and farm eggs.  Zoe coming round and trying to earn enough money for something she has her heart set on - unfortunately, though she worked hard, her tastes in this instence are a little on the expensive side and though the temptation is to be traditional grandparents and just spoil the grandkids, I think it is important they also learn the value of money and if they are going to work for sometihng then it must be somewhat realistic so they aren't too shocked when they eventually get a 'real' job and wonder why they aren't being paid at the rate the grandparents paid!  The evening we had been invited to attend Jamie's church's barbeque cum cooking competition.  This group of lads won the best chilli competition and Mayson (second from right) our eldest GK was part of the winning team.  Extra of Jamie, who did the talk after the eating was done.  Good to meet up with some long time friends and see the family in their church environment.
