The gall of it!

Lovely day and a walk along the pass of Killiekrankie. Aimed to get to Pitlochry but knew it was due to rain later in the afternoon and I needed to get back to cut the grass - might not be many more occasions when it will be dry enough, so didn't quite make it. I think this is a gall made by a common oak gall wasp.
