Garage managed to get hold of a pump for the car's power steering. Sod's Law dictated that when they took the old one off, it was found to be the other of the two possible models. So now the car's totally out of action until the matching pump arrives. Probably on Tuesday.
After feeling somewhat guilty at using the car for most of the week, and not swimming either, I walked the seven miles home. Some exercise this week, being the (distorted) logic. I was glad to have taken photo above early in the day, rather than have to take out the camera. The wind was of the strong and very Baltic variety. Especially on the Kesock Bridge. Darned glad to get off that.
Weather's not set to change, so another quiet weekend ahead.
First TV licence letter in a long time. There's been no TV in this house for over ten years, but tell them that. Distinctly threatening, some of their mail. This year's ploy is not to write on the outside "No TV here" and return it to sender. Last time they just kept sending out another one. Must have been near ten letters that came... and were sent back.
This year the ploy is to ignore it. It does have some use. To heat the house. It's in the "to be burnt" pile. Did have a look at replying on their website. But as they were asking for vast amounts of details that they are NOT entitled to know, nor need to know, I just ended up being more committed to give them nothing. So says "The Current Occupier..."
