Beasts and Buttes

Two hours from Albuquerque, NM involving at one point 25 miles of dirt road = 40 km.....each way.  Destination: Guadalupe Ruins.

On our way, we need to pass El Cabezon (access via dirt road) sitting as a focal point around which we circle. Both the musician and I have "summited" the volcanic plug, El Cabezon (the Head) Elevation 7,785 feet = 12, 528 km.  It is a wonderfully difficult climb.

But today our goal is simply the exploration of........
