Tales of a bedbound mum

By Bedbound

There down there somewhere...

Ok the UK is generally suffering from some rather dreadful weather at the moment . We're not equipped for snow like Switzerland or the Scandinavia countries our because normally if we get two or three days snow in a year were lucky. But after an incredibly wet 2012 it appears 2013 is going to be the year of the snow...

So far we have been lucky. So far we have only had two days where its actually stuck. I would really like to to stay like that. Snow causes chaos for my care. Care that I need. It's a nuisance when it snows because I feel guilty putting extra stress on the state as they try to find a way of getting my carers here, and my carers feel guilty because they know I need them here...

Anyway back to the photograph... Somewhere down the end of the bed is my feet . I don't actually see my legs very often as normally they are covered with duvet or blankets trying to keep me warm.. I look forwards to a time when my legs feel as if they are part of my body again at the moment they mainly feel like something that is kind of hanging around like a spare part, not knowing what to do. One day the NHS might actually fund care for people with severe ME and I might actually get my health back in the mean time, I will try and keep all my spare bits of body as well as possible and hope...

Housing wise..
< Beware sarcasm does rise jn this paragraph>

Well we are waiting, still waiting to hear if a house were on the short list for is to be ours. We were told we would find out today, but in true council style today they told us they didn't tell us that and they don't know when they will decide. In the mean time we will wait and see... After all how important is an accessible home to someone who is stuck in bed 24/7 because there landlord refused adaptions... The stress of it all isn't going to effect my health at all is it... Off course not... I wish these people wouldn't give out duff information.

Other news

A is really getting to grips with reading on her Kindle. She has also started to get interested in doing video animation. So we apparently now have a pile of assorted toys in front of the computer downstairs that cannot be moved... Sometimes I am glad I rely on my phone for Internet! She also went to a craft workshop event today with S as a change to the local home Edd group and she said she had a wonderful time she really enjoyed it. But she felt it was nothing that we couldn't have done at home...

Oh well think that's a long enough post for now. Hope your all well.
