Autumn Tidy

It was time to give the balcony a tidy up at the end of the growing season.  The dying foliage was removed from the pots and I gave everything a good wipe down.  

Saturday night indoor bowls hat games have started up again so it was a chance to have a last practice before my first league game on Monday.

We had sad news from Australia that Marjorie died.  She and my mother-in-law were childhood friends and never lost touch.  Marjorie and Murray moved to Oz in 1968 - not as £10 poms - but Murray was offered a job with Woolworths in Sydney.  We watched the funeral by link, not a dry eye in the house.  Her family made very moving tributes that captured Marjorie's character.  The whole family were so kind to me and Mister F when we visited Australia and we have fabulous memories of those happy occasions.
