KENS

The first demonstration of a neon tube was that of two 12-metre red neons by Georges Claude at the 1910 Paris Motorshow. In 1923 the neon sign was introduced to the USA when Georges sold 2 signs to a Packard dealership in LA.
This image, offered for Mono Monday (theme: invented in the 20th century) is of a contemporary Portsmouth Institution.
