Invented in 1908 - the Tea bag

The tea bag was invented in the USA by a tea merchant, Tomas Sullivan.

It took a while to reach the UK but Lipton’s introduced the flo/thru tea bag in 1952.

Nowadays it is quite an event to be served tea using loose tea leaves, in a teapot complete with a tea strainer. Progress?
