Sounds Of The Sixties?
So many 20th century inventions to choose from.
I've gone for Kevlar. Invented by Stephanie Kwolek at DuPont in 1965, this extremely high strength material is probably best known for its use in bulletproof vests, but it also makes excellent loudspeaker cones. I've had these B&W DM601 speakers for many, many years and they still sound fantastic.
We've been stuck in all day as the wardrobe installers have been here. I thought they would be done in a day but they are not quite half way through. They might finish tomorrow, but probably Wednesday. The garage is still crammed. I'm also running out of coffee pods. I may have to give them decaf tomorrow.
In other news it is grandson Joe's 3rd birthday today. We feel like we hardly know him.
