I took my car to Penrith for a service, mot test and work which I knew had to be done for it to pass the latter. I’d booked a courtesy car so drove home and had three hours there before returning. 

It was raining when I left Ambleside in the afternoon but the weather improved after going over Dunmail Raise. I was pleased to see my car outside (and washed) when I arrived. I stopped in a lay-by on the way home to get a blip. There was some great light a short way back but nowhere to stop. I think that’s Great Mell Fell with cloud on top
