No. 1A Autographic Kodak Camera...

...made from 1916 to 1924 by the Eastman Kodak Company, and it cost between $17.50 & $22.50 to buy it back in 1916. It was constructed of aluminum for strength & covered in seal grain leather, had a black leather bellows and metal parts that were finished in nickel or black enamel. It could take 12 exposures, 2  1/4 x 4  1/4 inches on a No. A 116 autographic film cartridge. It was fitted with a Kodak Rapid Rectilinear lens and a Kodak ball bearing shutter with variable speeds up to 1/100th of a second. The bellows folded up. This camera belonged to Tom's dad, and I put a photo of Tom with his dog, Queenie, circa 1946, that was taken with this camera by his dad. Thanks to Laurie54 for hosting MonoMondays this month.      (update: Tom saw the dr. this morning, who feels the pill is helping a little bit to keep his labs stable. Tom's platelets are up as are the neutrophils, although that's not saying a lot as they're still low. Tom now has two weeks off of the pill, and then another bone marrow biopsy prior to starting the next 14 days of taking the pills. The dr. said he'll decide whether to continue with the pills after he sees the results of the bone marrow biopsy. The one Tom had two weeks ago showed that the leukemia cells made up 80% of his bone marrow.....if the next one shows a significant drop in the percentage, he'll continue the pills. If it's the same or higher, the only other option is to go with the full blown chemo, which, while it will be helpful in clearing the leukemia cells out of the bone marrow, will also cause all his other lab values to drop way down, so he'll require frequent blood and platelets again. That's the only other option available, and it'll be up to Tom whether he wants to try it or not if the pills haven't made a difference.)
