A laser produces a very narrow beam of light that is useful in many technologies and instruments. the word laser stand for Light Amplification by Stimulated Emission of Radiation.
This shows a Lidl level which came with a mini tripod for about £8+ = $ 10 the other device is a Leica disto which cost considerably more but survived me dropping it about 14ft before taking this.
