Flying Sparks

Indigenous groups from many areas of Oaxaca State are performing traditional dances in the Dánza, a plaza around the corner from where we live. One part of this dance included a torito , which is a little bull made of paper mache that has home-made flares tied to it. The person carrying it dances around and intentionally throws sparks onto whoever is close by. Everyone loves it.

This could never happen in the US.
