Not Just Another Hole In The Wall

After another early morning run and a period of recuperation (a hot bath, a snooze and a strong coffee), we decided on a micro trip over to Rochester.
We thought we would treat ourselves to brunch as we had missed breakfast and so headed to The Cheese Rooms a cafe/deli on the High Street as we had never been there before and we thought it was time to try somewhere new.
As it was past the yardarm by the time we arrived we decided to go for a combination of a cheese and bacon brioche bun and a bottle of German beer. Not something I have ever paired together before but it was delicious! The atmosphere was cosy and the staff were friendly so we will definitely be frequenting this establishment again.
After our brunch we decided a small walk was in order so we strolled to the end of the High Street and back through the grounds of Rochester Castle which is where I took today's image. The perimeter wall of the castle has this opening where you can stand and look out across to the cathedral and forms a pretty spectacular frame!
