Alnwick Castle

We went to the castle this morning and had a tour talking about location shots for various films and tv programmes that had been filmed here. These included 2 of the Harry Potter films and one episode of Downtown Abbey. After lunch we joined the talk on the history of the Castle and the Percy family. It is the second largest inhabited castle in England, after Windsor.

It was quite wet this morning but brightened up this afternoon. So we decided to go and have a walk on the beach at Alnmouth, nearby.
