The oldest house

This is certainly one of the older houses in Chiswick, maybe even the oldest. The motorway has been built up over what was a very ancient lane that appears on early maps. It’s not a good photo, but it’s the best I could do today.
It’s been a day of intense conversation with friends, including one who is very distressed. 
I’m looking forward to a quiet evening watching the Bake Off.
