Temporary Beauty

Spotted these flowers this morning on a frosty walk.  It had been -4°C overnight and was still below freezing as we walked. However the day was steadily warming, and as we returned home about an hour later all these frost crystals were gone.
On the other hand when we walked out the lake was ruffled by a slight breeze, and as we came home it had turned to totally smooth, giving the perfect reflections seen in the extra.
