Hunter's Moon

12°C  -  21 mph WSW Wind Speed  -  30 mph Gusts  -  Cloudy.   This month’s Full Moon is known as Hunter's Moon, or Travel Moon, or the Dying Grass Moon.  I took this shot at 1 am this morning, but it won’t reach its true fullness until 3:56pm this afternoon.  I could hardly believe how clear the sky was after such an overcast day!  The American Native Indians called it the Hunter’s Moon because it was the ideal time for hunting game, which were becoming fatter from eating ripening grains.
