Leaf Peeping

This tree is on the corner of our street. It makes me happy to see some fall color so close to home, and I'm amused by the juxtaposition of falling leaves and shaggy palm trees. I don't think I'll ever get used to California vegetation. Part of me always feels like I'm on a movie set.

Exciting news: it rained/drizzled all day! Not huge amounts, but enough to wet your whistle. We're in much better shape as far as the fire season goes. Next up for action is fixing the drought.
