Cleaning

The four of us spent the day at mum’s house, giving it a good clean ready to put it in the market. We’d had the house cleared the previous week and it looked pretty shabby before we started, but after several hours of scrubbing and hoovering, it looked much more presentable. It will still need completely redecorating and new carpets, and maybe more than that, but at least it gives the best first impression it can in its current state. Let’s hope it won’t take too long to sell.

In car news, I’ve found a much cheaper quote from a garage that specialises in VWs, so it’s booked in for next week.
