Charged

Up early (I’m getting good at lunch boxes now!) and picked up a coffee and apricot danish on my way to our latest almost all in person team meeting. Went around the houses a bit and no doubt the messaging of the decision will be garbled when it eventually goes out (sigh). Back to the office and had a surprising meeting with R…good grief the place is falling apart!
Caught up with J and added another row to the spreadsheet that’s growing arms and legs for recruitment issues, and sorted some other consequences whilst listening in to an all staff meeting that was taut with emotion and opposing views but in fact went better than we expected. The business meeting that followed was less successful…very frustrating.
Home via the pharmacy to get my flu jab and A drove me over to V’s to collect my car - beautiful sunset developing behind us as we went along.  V’s laid up with a swollen knee but we chatted for ages and had a laugh then home for supper that N made and wrapped Mx’s birthday presents whilst watching the first in the new series of Shetland. Should have been tired but forgot to ask for decaf in my coffee this morning so didn’t feel ready for bed til late!
