Exotic Reading

Driving south on the Motorway today Steve Wright kept reminding us how many Brits were heading abroad today for exotic weekends in the sun.....and here we are in the Premier Inn at Reading!!

However, we are here for the Jan Kjellstrom International Orienteering Event which takes place over the Easter weekend, yahey! The first day is tomorrow and that will be the Sprint event around Reading University Campus, then the next three days will be out in the local countryside.

On the way down today we broke the journey at Ryton Gardens, owned and run by Garden Organics and spent a very pleasant couple of hours. We will definitely return in the summer when everything is in bloom, especially as we have a voucher for two cream scones for the price of one!
