Intentional tilt

The continuing tale of repositioning the rainwater tanks.

Step 9 was to slide one tank onto the hard-packed soil revealed yesterday and shuffle the down pipe into position immediately above it. Tick.

Step 10. Wield a spade to create a new soil platform for the other tank, slightly lower than the other (for ease of water overflow between the two tanks). Tick.

Step 11. Wriggle and wrangle the second tank into position. The observant will note that the second tank is on a lean. This is because it is half on looser-packed clay soil. I reckon once it’s full of water it will pack down and horizontalise itself. Tick.

Step 12. Refit the overflow pipes and bung up the gaps where they go into the tanks. Tick.

Step 13. Sit on the step with a cuppa and discuss with Bean how the walkway is going to be straightened and shored up. Tick.

More mulling over Step 13 was needed. So we went for a walk.
