What Color is your Soul?

I know this is one of the least colorful blips I have. If you read the text on the kindle and the 2nd paragraph of one of my students' quickwrites- you will notice mention of colors. I am reading a book in which the main character is very interested in the different colors of the world and of people. He even says when people die- their souls have a color. Then he asks the reader "what color is your soul?"

I thought about this- I think my soul is a mixture of two colors- gray and purple. A very solid gray and a very deep vibrant purple. I wear the two together often. My student loves blue-even to the point where she wants to wear blue shoes on her wedding day- it doesn't surprise me that she chose that color. I ask you- what color is your soul?

Today was a day way I tried to see colors in people. See them in a different light. I had a wonderful class and lunch with my students and even an unscheduled dinner with other students. It was a lot of fun. I really needed it. Today was one of those days where the conversations were meaningful and insightful or they were silly and funny ( a really good mixture of conversations). I am thankful for a good day all around.
