On Fire!!
The walk towards Hargraves Lookout late this afternoon was quite spectacular and I couldn’t resist taking this image of the fresh gum leaves that were backlit making them look like they were on fire. Very soon the Lookout will be open to the public once again and Shipley Road will come alive with tourists driving out to one of the best lookouts in the Blue Mountains. It has been closed since early March this year and we have enjoyed being able to walk the unsealed section of the road without having to cope with the dust flying as cars race past.
The country is opening up again and our spirits are lifting, however it’s hard to be too excited when there are still many people contracting Covid and also many people passing away every day. We are still going to be super cautious though, particularly as Blackheath is a magnet for tourists.
