Beauty is all around us.

Gusty Wind in The Tree of Paradise.

The Feast Day of Saint John Paul the Second.
I  was living in Accrington and it was 1982 when the then Pope John Paul 11 came to visit Heaton Park in the North West. We had to set out in the early hours to get there and it was one of those unique occasions you always remember. During the open air Mass he ordained new Catholic priests. Then he travelled around the park in the famous Pope mobile. We all waved our yellow and white Papal flags.
I was working in a supermarket several years later when we were listening to the radio reporting on his sad death.
So it is special to have seen someone who is now a  Catholic saint.
Today is what I call rainbow weather ! It has been mostly rainy, 11c with a few sunny interludes and a strong cold wind.  Our Hyndburn wind turbines on Oswaldtwistle Moor are doing well today. When I went out to capture the Tree of Paradise, there was a rainbow in the sky above the Parish Church. I was so glad to see it, but it was too faint to photograph.
Arthur went out after his breakfast, got a soaking, and then ran upstairs, which is unusual, and he has stayed up there all morning. He will no doubt come back down when he gets hungry.
A day of housework and online Mass, followed by lunch and listening to worship songs from Sounds like Reign. Still waiting for a parcel that was due yesterday.
Have a lovely day blip friends, whatever your weather is like.
