Lakeland Fells from Hartside

We packed up and left the flat by 0900 and travelled south and west to return home.   Stopped at Cragside, a National Trust property near Rothbury for coffee.  The house didn't open until 1100 so we didn't have time to go round it today - next time.

We met up with a friend in Corbridge for coffee.  We had first met her a few years ago on a photographic holiday in Giverny.   It was good to see her and hear how things had been for her with Covid and everything.

From here home via Hartside.  This view from the 1900 feet summit looks towards the Lakeland Fells and home.  We could also see across the Solway Firth to Scotland in the other direction.

Great few days away and so lovely to be home too.
