Foxton Locks

Great day out at Foxton Locks to advance celebrate V985’s birthday. An amazing engineering feat dating back to 1810, the ten locks take 45 minutes to raise or lower boats 75ft up a steep hill. We were lucky to see boats go both up and down the lock ‘staircase’ while we were there. A very fine pub lunch rounded off our visit.
