Ripley Castle

Had a smashing day at Ripley nr Harrogate. It’s only a fiver to get into the grounds and, once in there, I can merrily spend a couple of hours just wandering about and taking photo of the castle and lake plus the many old gnarly trees.
Saw two herons and two deer down by the lake but didn’t bother with photos. Past experience has taught me that they invariably hear you and scarper so it’s best to just leave them alone and enjoy the scene.
Had a coffee before going in the grounds and one after, living on the edge or what?!
Oh and the orphaned piglet is now called Henrietta. :-)
