Cables

I learnt to knit when I was about about 6 or 7 yrs old. The girl next door did knitting lessons for all the neighbourhood kids keeping us all out of trouble! Mum also taught me some other stuff like how to read a pattern. I've always shied away from cables, intarsia and lacey stuff. They all look way beyond my ability. Inspired by a friend posting pictures on instagram I decided to look again at how to do cables. One YouTube tutorial later I'd knitted a practice piece with 3 cables. Why did I wait all this time?! They are so easy to do, fiddly, but nothing like I'd imagined. Cable hats all the way now ;)
